This vehicle if not otherwise noted is sold by an Illinois Dealer and is presented by J&J Marketing Solutions, Inc., an Internet research and advertising company and Better Business Bureau member. If the seller is an Illinois Dealer, the following charges apply: 1) $20 drive-away permit[unless transferring plates] and 2) AZ, CA, FL, HI, IN, IL, MA, MI, SC residents must include their state's sales tax with payment[unless shipping]. Residents of other states pay taxes and license/registrations fees in their home state, dealers exempt.

Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 7 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding. We accept Cashier's check or wire transfer for full payment, allow up to 7 working days for the cashier's check to clear before we can release the bike. Due to a large number of zero feedback bidders we are no longer accepting bids from bidders with zero 0 feedback, unless they contact us first. 1960 BMW R50 for sale

For sale a 1960 BMW R50

This is an older restoration with all the documentation of the process and over $7.5k in receipts.

The BMW R 50 VIN 56XXXX was manufactured on May 18th, 1960 and delivered on June 28th, 1960 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat.

Mechanically in great shape and in quite nice and presentable condition.

MATCHING all 3 VIN NUMBERS, frame, motor and frame tag. I am the 4-th owner by an educated guess based on the documentation research.

* Rebuilt in full in 1999 ( Full folder of receipts),

Recent maintenance: oils changed, oil pan dropped and cleaned, timing and valves set. Runs and rides excellent. Clutch and brakes work well, gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. Lights, also all work as intended.

I have ridden the bike on many occasions and shifted all 4 gears – It was a PLEASURE!

Those bikes are getting much harder to find and have great following. Ride it home wherever you live.

Vintage beauties like this excellent machine do not come around very often, in fact, they are rarely available anywhere in this level of mostly original condition. Motonit has been exceptionally fortunate recently to have this classic Avus Black airhead twins arrive, allowing us to be responsible for finding their next homes. Those occasionally are on display in the showrooms for extended periods of time until the perfect match to the next owner, caretaker and enthusiast.
